henry&hymas’s core competency is structural engineering. From inception our business has delivered robust and innovative structural engineering solutions for developers and builders.
We work collaboratively with developers, builders, architects, property managers and other consultancies to deliver the highest quality structural engineering design and documentation.
Today henry&hymas boast a full suite of structural engineering capabilities from foundation and tall building design to 3D building information modelling (BIM) using REVIT. These tools are used to optimise designs and minimise construction costs.
Our specialist areas include design of precast, tilt-up, reinforced and post tensioned concrete buildings and structural steel design for retail, commercial, industrial and residential developments. We assess and interpret geotechnical investigations and carry out design of foundations, shoring and retaining structures. We also provide specialist advice for logistics, materials handling and commercial signage.

Civil & Stormwater
Civil engineering is a key capability within henry&hymas. Our civil team offers a full range of civil engineering expertise including subdivision design, roads & stormwater design, engineering reports, flood modelling, due diligence, earthworks, DA design and construction documentation.
Our civil team is highly proficient and will tackle any scale or type of urban development. We prepare road design, lot layout, utility and infrastructure design. Our road and pavement designs meet Australian and national standards. Our civil and stormwater skills extend to design of shoring and dewatering systems, coffer dams soil erosion and sediment controls.
Our civil and stormwater team is integrated and capabilities include design of bioretention systems, waterways, wetlands, sediment basins, swales, wsud, gross pollutant traps. Our stormwater group is fully conversant with stormwater management and design, integrated water cycle management, and traditional conveyance requirements such as flood studies drainage design and modelling.
henry&hymas have adapted to industry needs and offer the full range of stormwater design services needed to deliver complying developments. We have the latest water quantity and quality modelling software required to plan, design and deliver stormwater infrastructure.
We are used for peer review and as expert witness for development approvals and construction issues ,construction certificate applications including review of flood studies, traffic, road, drainage and pavement design to individual Councils
Tilt-Up & Precast
henry&hymas Consulting Engineers are pioneers of tilt-up and precast engineering solutions. The benefit of tilt-up construction was realised in the early 1990’s and is now the preferred method of construction for many industrial, commercial and retail precincts. Our tilt-up and precast team have enormous capacity to prepare detailed design and detail shop drawings for the construction industry.

Remedial & Strata Reporting
