Rodney is a director of henry&hymas and has been with us since his graduation at University of New South Wales in 1995. Rodney is an intelligent, systematic and diligent operator. Rodney’s diligence has resulted in his promotion, success and growth of the precast and tilt-up business.
Rodney has managed, design and delivered a variety of projects utilizing Tilt-Up, Precast, Composite Steel Frames, Portal Frames, Conventional and Post-Tensioned Concrete construction systems.
Rodney is IT Manager is responsible for the efficient running of computer systems, networking, software maintenance and programming for the company. His skills include programming in Visual Basic, Excel, Access and AutoCAD. In this role Rodney is also responsible for managing internal accounting systems.
Andrew Francis

Andrew is a director of henry&hymas and responsible for management and integration of the civil engineering business. Andrew’s deep understanding of engineering is matched by his enthusiasm for his staff making the civil engineering business a real winner.
Andrew has enjoyed over 20 years of working in the development industry including civil design, project management, and documentation and construction supervision of numerous urban development projects.
Andrew has an excellent reputation in the industry for delivering compliant, cost effective and quality engineering outcomes. Andrew enjoys captaining his team of talented civil and environmental engineers capable of delivering the full spectrum of civil engineering services needed for the urban development industry. Andrew’s energy, open communication and engagement with staff promotes teamwork, builds enthusiasms and encourages innovation.
Andrew has excellent credentials including a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the University of NSW.
Lin Ma
Structural Manager

Lin is a director of henry&hymas and professional engineer. Lin is extremely competent, studious and thorough in all of his activities. His considered approach is balanced by a tremendous appreciation of structural engineering respected by all within and outside the organisation.
Lin has extensive experience in the design of a wide variety of structures ranging from commercial and residential development to infrastructure and resource projects. His experience embraces all aspects of design from conceptual studies to detailed analysis and design in reinforced and prestressed concrete, structural steel, timber and masonry, and also computerised structural design aids.
Lin has managed and delivered structural designs for commercial, residential and industrial buildings ranging from low to high rise buildings up to twenty-five storeys. Lin has extensive experience in computerised structural design including RAPT, Microstran, RC Buildings, PT3D, Slabs, Excel, Earthquake and Wind Static & Dynamic analysis, Wallap and finite element analysis strand7 & ETABS.
Lin has diversified more into the infrastructure, water and resources sector delivering design for water/wastewater, and mining sectors. Lin also manages henry&hymas Integrated Quality Management systems.
Lars Herngren
Water Infrastructure Manager
Lars is an associate director of henry&hymas and principal of the water business. Lars has outstanding credentials to act in this role and an excellent reputation in the water, development and local government industries. Lars joined henry&hymas in January 2008 and has delivered a number of iconic water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure projects.
Lars has 14 years of experience and credentials including a Masters of Science from the Royal Institute of Technology (Stockholm, Sweden) and PhD in urban stormwater quality from Queensland University of Technology in 2005. Lars has an exceptional understanding of all aspects of hydraulics and hydrology, water quality and water treatment and has written numerous professional journal and conference papers in the field.
Lars experience includes integrated water management plans, detailed hydraulic and treatment design, water and wastewater infrastructure design, water demand and supply calculations, WSUD, process design, risk management frameworks and approvals, 1D and 2D flood modelling, construction administration and supervision project management, master planning,.
Lars is also an experience trainer lecturing and tutoring in Hydraulic Engineering and Water Engineering at QUT. Lars has also worked in manufacturing in the role of design manager for CDS Technologies and acted as panel member of the Institution of Engineers Water Panel in QLD 2004-2005.
